About The Author

I’m Debbie Odom, a lifelong plant lover, horticulturist, and grower with deep roots in the coastal South. Since 1990, I’ve poured my heart into cultivating Camellias, tea plants, and many other garden treasures, sharing my passion for sustainable, region-specific gardening. My love for nurturing nature began in my grandmother’s backyard and grew through decades as a nursery grower in Savannah, where each season brought new blooms, harvests, and quiet moments of connection with the earth. Through Southern Garden Guides, I hope to inspire you to create gardens that are as enduring as they are beautiful.
